The exclusive Dalcos Vision System uses a high-resolution camera that identifies the edges of the panel or coil and the pre-punched holes. The way it works is extremely simple, given that the operation is completely transparent to the operator and the algorithm developed by our engineers takes care of all the measuring and calibration.
The image with the position of the hole – or edge of the coil – is compared with the theoretical position given by the DXF drawing and the differences are recorded.
The system uses 2 to 4 measurements and identifies any deviations on the X and Y axes; even if the panel is positioned in an incorrect angular position, the Dallan software will identify it and reset the laser processing and axis directions according to the actual position of the product to an accuracy of +/-0.1mm.
1. Processing of products up to 14 metres in length
The processing of very long products takes place simply using the precision guaranteed by the vision system.
2. Both coil-fed and pre-cut sheet-fed processing
Dalcos LXN Vision makes it very easy for both sheet-fed processing up to 14 metres in length and continuous coil-fed processing. Consequently, large batches can be processed automatically using coils (one coil guarantees up to 24 hours of continuous production) and, for small batches, single sheets can be fed into the machine using the roller bench supplied by Dalcos.
3. Processing without side guides, with extremely fast set-up times
Since the Vision System directs the positioning of the laser processing, it isn’t necessary for the operator to precisely position the guides when changing the coil or inserting a new panel.
4. Working with raw coils received directly from the steelworks
With the DALCOS LXN 1500 Vision model, the maximum width is 1550mm: that makes it possible to purchase the coils directly from the steelworks, without going through the service centre, which results in a further advantage in terms of profitability.
5. Processing using pre-punched panels
The Dalcos vision system makes it possible to insert pre-punched panels which are identified by already existing holes into the machine. Consequently, Dalcos was able to launch the world’s first in-line simultaneous punching and laser cutting machine on the market, making it possible to also perform deformations and threading on parts.
6. Transform any standard punching machine into an in-line simultaneous punching and laser cutting system.
Similarly, the Dalcos LXN Vision can be installed immediately after any standard punching machine: using a simple roller bench, the Dalcos LXN Vision receives the pre-punched panel and performs the required processing on it. Any existing punching machine can be transformed into a high productivity combined system.
Dalcos LaserVision may likewise be installed immediately after any standard punching machine: with a simple roller table Dalcos LXN Vision receives the pre-punched panel and carries out the required machining on it. Any existing punching machine may be transformed into a high productivity combo system.
